Although many Removal firms nowadays claim to be a 'family business' few actually are.  

  This is where we are different.

In 1966 my grandfather bought a small shop in Gillingham, Kent, where he sold secondhand furniture, brass and antiques. Over the next 25 years, with the help of my father and an old Bedford TK, he laid good foundations on which to build a reliable, trustworthy removal firm.

My father then took the reigns and created FJ Phillips & Son Removals. He also started small, but with solid roots, a strong will and a lot of hard work he expanded both the shop and the removal firm beyond all expectations, broadening horizons to a succesful european firm within a few years.  He has truly kept it a family run business, introducing myself to it from a young age and incorporating my mum and sisters over the years in packing, shop work and customer service. This has helped give us a reputation for going the exra mile, along with the fact that we have a very hardworking and loyal workforce, some of which have been with us for over 10 years - an achievement for any removal firm!

We pride ourselves on giving each individual job  (regardless of size) a personal service that is second to none, and in achieving complete customer satisfaction.  After all, its our reputation - our name - at stake, so we do all we can to maintain our high standards and also meet those of the customer.  It's for this reason that a majority of our work is due to recommendations - a fact that we are extremely proud of.

The reigns have since been handed to me, and I have continued to keep customer satisfaction paramount.  I am commited to upholding the companys core values whilst allowing the business to prosper further.
